Got a Question?

Check our FAQs to see if it has been asked already:

How long will it be before Oprising saves time and money?

We spent a while trying to figure how long it would take to recoup ROI for users of the Oprising platform, and we came up with this.

We researched the average salaries (in the US) for the following roles: Operational Excellence Manager, Service Desk Manager, COO/Managed Services Directors, and worked out their hourly rates.

Oprising payoff hours

Now, if you consider the amount of time wasted on: finding the right spreadsheet, chasing updates, understanding overrun tasks, CSI meetings, etc. each month, then consider that saving 1 hour and 24 minutes of "faffing around" for any, single, individual, makes the subscription pay for itself.

What's the difference between early release and later stages?

All the functionality will remain, the only difference will be in the Assessment modules.

For the MVP, we will be including the full version of the assessment.

Post-MVP, the plans will change as there will be a shortened assessment (for those that operate on a simple approach), whereas the full assessment will be suitable for those who have (or wish to implement) ITIL and ISO:20000.

Is there a trial available?

Absolutely!  Feel free to have 7 days on us, and you don't even need to enter your credit card details to start.

What and where's the pricing?

Pricing during during early release is a straight £75 per month.

At the minute, it is in £ - Great British Pounds, but we will eventually get round to including localised currencies.

Later, when we release the additional modules, and segment based on maturity levels, then we will split to a Good/Better/Best model.

Is there a discount for annual plans?

The MVP version of the product will not offer any annual plan pricing.

As an early adopter, you will be entitled to keep the MVP pricing for a further three months post the MVP product being revoked.

Have you got any material that can help me build a business case?

Of course we have! 😁

We can't add a link in these FAQ boxes, so drop an email to hello@oprising.com and ask for the business case justification one-pager.

In the meantime, we will see where we can add a link for you to download in future.

What happens after I sign-up?

At the moment, all our customer setup is manual....  Yes, we know automation is key, but we decided to release without automating the onboarding process.

So, what happens next?

The team get to work and setup your account on Oprising and send you the details to login to your Oprising account for the first time.

How do I switch plans?

For now, the easiest route is to log a ticket through the Support page to ask for a change of plan, and we will be in touch.

How does the subscription work?

After the 7 day trial, you will need to complete your payment details, and then subscription will be ongoing unless it is cancelled.

How easy is it to cancel?

We believe in making things as easy as possible, so if you want to cancel, then feel free to head over to the Support page and select cancel.

Again, at this time, cancellation is a manual process, although we aim to get this done within two working days.

If you are charged because we have not processed the cancellation in time, then we shall refund the payment.

What happens if the Admin user leaves us?

If the admin user leaves your organisation, please feel free to get in touch via the Support page and we will be happy to update the MSP Admin account with your nominated user.

The newly nominated user must have an email address that matches the MSPs domain.

Where can I raise an issue with the platform?

If there's an issue, please head over to the Support page and log a ticket.

Do I need to do anything other than the actions listed?

Yes!  The list of actions have been compiled over several years and are applicable in many instances, however the lists of actions are not exclusive.

While Oprising gives you a good starter for six, these lists are not the "be-all-and-end-all".

You will still need to review the actions to make sure they are relevant for you, and you will also need to add any relevant custom actions.

Can I do this process by myself?

Yes, you absolutely can!

You will need to make sure that you remain objective and actively challenge your own way of thinking.

You may find it useful to get others on the team involved; whether that is part of a "working group", delegate the assessments to various others on the team and you challenge their thinking, or whether you get someone on the team to challenge your way of thinking.

Key words to listen out for: "try", "but", "sometimes".  All those words that mean you aren't doing something consistently.

Do I need a consultant to help set this up?

Nope, not at all!

The whole purpose of having the guided assessments was to help MSPs become more self-sufficient and not need a consultant to help them develop their improvement plans.

If you do feel like getting some external eyes-on, feel free to log a ticket on the Support page - share the problem areas, and we will even point you in the direction of an MSP expert for that business area!

This way, you can keep your consultancy fees for those bigger, more complex issues where you really need to rein in some expertise.

I work with a consultant already, why should I use both?

You may absolutely be working with a consultant already on specific areas of your business, which is awesome!

Using Oprising alongside will give you a full, holistic view of your improvement initiatives across the whole MSP, rather than just that specific area.

You can invite your consultant(s)/coach(es) into the platform to help keep you on track.

Does Oprising integrate with my existing tools?

Not at the moment, but it is something that is on the Roadmap.

We are planning integrations with PSAs and O365.

I outsource some of the business functions to other people, can I delegate to actions to those external people and let them access specific areas?

If you are outsourcing specific areas of your business, eg: Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, etc., then you can absolutely set them up as a user inside your portal and assign them actions - the same as you would for any other user.

I don't want everyone seeing everything inside my MSP, how can I lock certain aspects down?

We get it!  You absolutely do not want everyone seeing confidential information, so there are only certain roles can see absolutely everything.

The standard role only allows people to see actions and items that have been assigned to them, they cannot see anything else.

What other tools can Oprising be compared to?

Good question, we're still looking for something that does that all-in-one Service Improvement thing.

The closest we have got (without naming vendors directly) is:

Oprising Tool Comparison

Is there somewhere where we can observe the process in action?

We're working on it!

We are holding a number of sessions with customers at the moment, where we walk through the modules and questions, providing appropriate challenge, and giving clear explanations of what to look out for.

In time, we will share the videos on the Oprising YouTube channel - either for demo or training purposes.

Are there any special deals for those who you are recording sessions with/obtaining a case study from?

Definitely!

Because it is early doors and we are looking to get as much video content (for training purposes) as possible out there, we are always looking for people who are willing to be walked through a section and to be grilled, or to use the platform and be a case study.

If you want to participate in the recorded walkthroughs, this will give you the opportunity to understand how to use the platform fully, pick an area you are particularly struggling with and get some external eyes on it.

Whichever capacity you help us out in, we will gift you three months free access to the platform, so you can really push forward on th0se initiatives!

Want to get involved?  Head over to the Support page or drop us an email - hello@oprising.com

Is Oprising absolutely perfect?

We're a big believer of transparency and setting clear expectations, so no.

While we would love for the platform to be absolutely perfect, with every single action that you could ever possibly imagine, and have all the modules and everything built in, there's always room for improvement!

It is worth keeping in mind, that launch takes place in 2025.  It is a very early phase, and although we have spent hours reviewing and testing, we may have become a little word/functionality blind.

Now, we absolutely love feedback and finding those opportunities to improve, so if you think of anything that we can do to make Oprising better, head over to the Support page and log it!

Let's just take a moment to thank you in advance!
